Manufacturing Engineer
ECR International 2019-2021
As the manufacturing engineer at ECR international, I helped implement new boiler products and created assembly process documentation.

As part of the Continuous Improvement team, I ran a project that reorganized the area where operators packed kit boxes for boilers to make it more intuitive and made diagrams to show what parts go in what box.

One of my most significant projects involved a complete redesign of work instructions for operator use on one of the production lines. This redesign broke operations into smaller, easier to understand steps with accompanying pictures.
I also created many assembly diagrams using Solidworks Composer.
Small Fixes that made a Difference
USB Port Cap:
An operator brushed against this USB port frequently, causing it to start to come out of the test machine. I designed and 3D printed a press-fit cap to hold the port in place so it couldn't be dislodged.

Control Board Jig:
When operators wired a boiler, they would need to hold the control board up with their elbow as they made connections; this was a hassle and sometimes impossible to do. I designed and printed a jig to hold up control boards while wiring.

I designed a cap in Solidworks after measuring the USB port. I 3D printed the cap and press fit it onto the USB port.

This USB port was coming off of this testing machine.

The jig fits onto a side bracket & holds the control board up to allow operators to wire the boiler.
